AT&T has extended its long-standing voice core partnership with Nokia through a multi-year expansion agreement aimed at accelerating service deployment, enhancing automation, and optimizing network operations. The deal includes Nokia’s 5G IMS Voice Core and Digital Operations software, supporting AT&T’s shift toward a fully cloud-native architecture.
As part of the agreement, AT&T will integrate Voice over New Radio (VoNR) into its existing Nokia IMS Voice Core, enabling flexible scaling and increased automation. Nokia’s cloud-based voice core applications, deployed on the Nokia Cloud Platform (NCP), will streamline network operations, reduce manual intervention, and improve service delivery speed. Additionally, Nokia Digital Operations software will provide automated network design, delivery, and assurance capabilities across AT&T’s multi-vendor environment.
The collaboration strengthens AT&T’s focus on network automation and efficiency, leveraging Nokia’s solutions to reduce complexity and deployment times while enhancing service offerings. By adopting Nokia’s multi-cloud strategy, AT&T gains greater agility in managing its infrastructure and delivering customer-focused networks.
