Blue Planet Unveils Agentic AI Framework for OSS Transformation at DTW25

Blue Planet, a division of Ciena, has introduced a telecom-native Agentic AI Framework at Digital Transformation World (DTW25) in Copenhagen, positioning operations support systems (OSS) at the core of AI-driven transformation. The new framework aims to help communication service providers (CSPs) shift from manual operations to autonomous networking through intelligent agents acting with intent, context, and coordination.

The open, domain-specific framework integrates deeply with Blue Planet’s existing OSS portfolio—including Inventory, Orchestration, and Assurance—and supports the creation, scaling, and governance of AI agents within telecom environments. Key demonstrations at DTW25 include real-time service assurance, automated 5G network slicing, and a network digital twin for multi-layer simulation and planning. Joint demonstrations with AWS further show how telecom operators can reduce deployment time and improve service rollout accuracy using generative AI and cloud-native automation.

Blue Planet’s Agentic AI approach also takes center stage in two speaking sessions: one exploring the shift from fault-centric to experience-centric network operations, and another detailing how TDC Net is using Blue Planet to reduce OSS complexity and improve customer experience.

• Blue Planet launches Agentic AI Framework for CSP OSS transformation

• Enables autonomous networks via intelligent agents with OSS-native tools

• Demonstrations include AI service assurance, 5G slicing, and digital twins

• AWS joint demo showcases AI-driven automation across the 5G lifecycle

• TM Forum Catalyst explores generative AI for personalized network slicing

“A thoughtful, flexible and open agentic AI framework with a strong roadmap and internal governance is key to the successful implementation of autonomous networking,” said Caroline Chappell, Director at CCsquared.
