Boldyn Networks US has closed a $1.2 billion debt financing deal to accelerate its expansion and investment in neutral host and open access network infrastructure across key sectors in the U.S. The financing package, comprising Senior Secured Credit Facilities and Fixed Rate Notes, was arranged with the support of CIBC as the exclusive advisor, lead arranger, and administrative agent. The funds will fuel Boldyn’s connectivity initiatives in public transit, airports, military bases, ports, sports and entertainment venues, convention centers, universities, and commercial real estate.

The financing underscores investor confidence in Boldyn’s strategic vision and pipeline of large-scale connectivity projects. The capital structure is designed to optimize funding costs while enabling the company to scale infrastructure investments and deploy advanced wireless and fiber solutions. With demand for high-performance connectivity surging across industries, Boldyn aims to expand its role in delivering next-generation network solutions for enterprise, government, and consumer applications.

Boldyn Networks, headquartered in London, UK, is one of the world’s largest shared network infrastructure providers, specializing in neutral host, private, and public connectivity solutions. The company was formed in 2023 following the consolidation of multiple wireless infrastructure businesses under a single brand. Led by CEO Christos Karmis, Boldyn is expanding aggressively into new markets, including Germany, where it recently announced the acquisition of Smart Mobile Labs (SML), a leader in bespoke private 5G networks. The acquisition adds SML’s expertise in mobile private networks (MPN) across industries such as energy, transport, healthcare, and defense, further strengthening Boldyn’s global footprint and its Private 5G as a Service offering.

• Boldyn Networks US secures $1.2 billion in debt financing to expand nationwide.

• The funding supports network deployments in transit systems, airports, ports, and venues.

• CIBC acted as exclusive advisor, lead arranger, and placement agent for the financing.

• The capital will accelerate large-scale connectivity projects across multiple industries.

• Boldyn expands into Germany with the acquisition of Smart Mobile Labs, enhancing its private 5G capabilities.

“This additional financing represents a major vote of confidence in Boldyn Networks and our ability to deliver on the demands of a rapidly evolving landscape,” said Christos Karmis, CEO of Boldyn Networks US. “We are navigating one of the most consequential times in wired and wireless innovation, where expectations across industries—from higher education and military applications to venues, sports, fan experiences, and private wireless networks—are evolving at an unprecedented pace.”

Boldyn Networks was formed in 2023 through the consolidation of multiple wireless infrastructure companies previously owned by BT Group’s Digital Infrastructure division and BAI Communications. The merger combined BAI Communications and its subsidiaries, including Mobilitie, Signal Point Systems, Transit Wireless, and Vilicom, to create a unified global brand focused on neutral host networks, private wireless, and shared infrastructure solutions.

Key Companies Merged to Form Boldyn Networks:

1. BAI Communications – A global provider of neutral host infrastructure, known for deploying wireless connectivity in transport systems and urban environments.

2. Mobilitie – A major U.S. provider of wireless infrastructure, including small cells, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), and private networks.

3. Signal Point Systems – A company specializing in wireless solutions for U.S. military bases and defense applications.

4. Transit Wireless – The company behind New York City’s subway wireless network, providing connectivity in underground transit systems.

5. Vilicom – A specialist in private 5G networks, offering enterprise and industrial connectivity solutions, mainly in the UK and Ireland.

This consolidation positioned Boldyn Networks as one of the world’s largest neutral host and shared infrastructure providers, with a strong presence in North America, Europe, and Australia. T
