Broadcom and Agere Systems reached a settlement of all outstanding litigation. The companies have entered into reciprocal releases covering all asserted and unasserted patent-related claims against the other party and its affiliates. In addition, the agreement includes a cross-license under the respective patent portfolios of each party and its affiliates.
In 2003 and 2004, Broadcom and Agere Systems filed several complaints and counterclaims against each other asserting infringement of a range of patents relating to high speed communications, wireless, disk drive and other technologies. http://www.broadcom.com
