C3ntro Telecom, a leading provider of AI-enabled fiber networks and data center connectivity in Mexico and the U.S., has deployed Infinera’s GX Series-based ICE6 800G solution and GX Open Line System (GX OLS) to upgrade its long-haul network between Mexico City and Queretaro. The deployment delivers 1.6 Tb/s (2x800G) optical redundant transmission, providing enhanced data center interconnectivity and meeting the rising demands of hyperscalers, carriers, and cloud service providers. Spanning 3,000 km across Mexico’s top cities, C3ntro’s fiber network now supports 100G and 400G wavelengths for seamless, high-capacity connections between key data center hubs.

The upgrade equips C3ntro Telecom to address increasing bandwidth needs driven by AI-powered applications and cloud solutions. The deployment ensures low-latency, high-performance, and cost-effective services with scalability for future growth.

“With over 30 years of experience, we have become a trusted network operator in the region,” said Simon Masri, CEO of C3ntro Telecom. “We selected Infinera’s GX Series for its reliable open optical and high performance, enabling us to interconnect data centers with the capabilities our customers demand. The team delivered a record-time upgrade without compromising quality.”

• Capacity Boost: Network upgrade delivers 1.6 Tb/s optical redundant transmission (2x800G).

• Enhanced Connectivity: Supports 100G and 400G wavelengths for seamless data center interconnectivity.

• Market Focus: Purpose-built for hyperscalers, carriers, and cloud service providers.
