Cadence completes acquisition of Rambus SerDes assets

Cadence Design Systems completed its previously-announced acquisition of the Rambus SerDes and memory interface PHY IP business. The deal brings Cadence proven and experienced PHY engineering teams in the United States, India and Canada, further expanding Cadence’s domain-rich talent base. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Rambus retains its digital IP business, including memory and interface controllers and security IP.
