China Unicom, the second largest cellular operator in China, has deployed Vyyo’s E1 circuit switched products to drive its broadband wireless access (BWA) in two provinces. Wuhan Research Institute (WRI) served as the system integrator in Changchun, Jilin and Datang Mobile in Guiyang, Guizhou. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Vyyo has now supplied its BWA systems to China Unicom, China Netcom, China Mobile, ChinaComm for use in 11 provinces with 3.5Ghz frequency licenses. http://www.vyyo.com
