AAPT has commissioned its 100G inter-capital network, operating between Melbourne and Sydney, using equipment from Ciena.
The 100G service, which launched on April 1, is powered by Ciena’s market-leading 6500 Packet-Optical Platform equipped with WaveLogic™ coherent optical processors to enable delivery of 100G wavelength services. AAPT’s internet, Ethernet and IP VPN customers can now connect at speeds up to 100G, satisfying the increasing demand for high-bandwidth capacity throughout Australia.
