Cisco and UAE-based AI powerhouse G42 announced a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating the development of AI-ready infrastructure across public and private sectors. The agreement, signed in the presence of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, outlines a joint vision to advance AI deployment through secure, high-performance computing environments. The partnership will focus on joint go-to-market initiatives and the co-development of AI-native infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions, integrating Cisco’s secure networking stack with G42’s regional and technical expertise.

The collaboration seeks to support the UAE’s National AI Strategy 2031 by enabling scalable, trustworthy AI deployments. With Cisco contributing a comprehensive portfolio of AI-native services and G42 offering deep-rooted infrastructure capabilities and a growing global footprint, the partnership is positioned to empower both enterprise and government sectors with transformative digital solutions. Together, the companies aim to establish reference architectures and secure, high-efficiency data center models designed specifically for AI workloads.

“AI is fundamentally changing our world and to truly unlock its potential, we need to build a strong global ecosystem,” said Chuck Robbins, Chair and CEO of Cisco. “Cisco is proud to join forces with G42 to deliver cutting-edge AI and digital infrastructure solutions to our customers at scale.”

  • Cisco and G42 signed an MoU to accelerate AI infrastructure and innovation.
  • The agreement includes joint go-to-market efforts and co-development of secure AI solutions.
  • Focus areas include AI-ready data center architectures, cybersecurity, and high-performance computing.
  • The partnership supports the UAE’s National AI Strategy 2031 and expands G42’s international footprint.

About G42’s Growth and Milestones

  • G42 has rapidly emerged as a global AI force, backed by billions in sovereign and private capital. The company has secured high-profile partnerships with U.S. tech giants, including Microsoft and Cerebras Systems, and has played a central role in advancing sovereign AI capabilities for the UAE. G42 also led initiatives in health tech (via G42 Healthcare), genomics, and cloud infrastructure, and played a key role in COVID-19 genomic sequencing efforts. Its recent multi-billion-dollar funding round from Mubadala and Silver Lake further solidifies G42’s position as a strategic AI player with ambitions far beyond the Gulf region.
