Cisco has secured Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorization at the Moderate Impact Level for its Cisco Meraki for Government solution, under the sponsorship of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). This authorization enables U.S. public sector organizations to securely adopt Cisco’s cloud-managed networking platform.

Cisco Meraki for Government is an AI-powered, cloud-managed networking solution designed to meet the stringent security and compliance requirements of federal agencies. It ensures network reliability, enhances security, and optimizes performance while simplifying IT management. The authorization allows government agencies to deploy, scale, and manage secure cloud networks more efficiently.

Key statistics and benefits of Cisco Meraki’s FedRAMP authorization:

  • Enhanced Compliance – FedRAMP authorization complements Cisco’s existing StateRAMP certification, meeting security and risk-management requirements for federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Government-Focused Security – Provides a fully compliant, cloud-managed networking solution for mission-critical applications.
  • Increased Adoption – Cisco has seen a 33% increase in FedRAMP-authorized products over the past 18 months.
  • Global Compliance Growth – Cisco has expanded global compliance efforts, achieving a 271% increase in global certifications.

“Government agencies should have access to the same innovative technologies as commercial customers, now with the added assurance of standardized security requirements,” said Gary DePreta, Senior Vice President of U.S. Public Sector at Cisco. “Cisco Meraki for Government enables agencies to deploy, scale, and manage cloud networks to support their critical missions.”

Cisco’s FedRAMP authorization strengthens its collaboration with government technology partners:

  • Iron Bow Technologies: “Cisco Meraki for Government provides a networking platform with the highest levels of security and compliance,” said Rene Levine, President and CEO.
  • World Wide Technology: “We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Cisco to bring secure cloud solutions to public sector customers,” said Scot Gagnon, Vice President of Federal.
