Cox Communications has expanded deployment of Juniper Networks’ networking and security solutions. Cox previously deployed Juniper Networks M- and T-series routing platforms to support multiple applications including peering, CMTS aggregation, high-speed Internet and video in metro core networks, transparent LAN services, VoIP, video transport and internal IT transport.
Building on this base, Cox is now deploying Juniper’s M320 multiservice edge routing platform in 14 regional data centers. The Cox national IP/MPLS network runs mission-critical applications, such as long distance voice traffic and signalling and provides the foundation for the company’s future advanced services. Additionally, Cox is deploying the Juniper Networks NetScreen ISG-2000 system. Financial terms were not disclosed.
