CyrusOne has begun construction on a major new data center campus in Fort Worth, Texas, marking its first development in the city. The new site, named DFW7, will deliver an initial IT capacity of approximately 70 megawatts, with infrastructure in place to support future expansion. This facility adds to CyrusOne’s growing footprint in Texas, where total capital investment has now surpassed $2.4 billion.
Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex—the second-largest data center market in the U.S.—the DFW7 campus is designed as a multi-building development to serve the rising demand from hyperscale and enterprise customers. The groundbreaking ceremony brought together city and industry leaders, including U.S. Congressman Marc Veasey, Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, and executives from energy utility Oncor and general contractor Clune. Officials highlighted Fort Worth’s growing role as a technology hub and the project’s potential to drive economic development.
CyrusOne operates over 55 data centers globally and supports high-density, AI-ready workloads with a focus on energy reliability and scalability. The Fort Worth campus is expected to support both existing enterprise demand and future AI infrastructure deployments, as well as long-term regional growth. Oncor will provide power infrastructure to the site, ensuring grid resilience as CyrusOne scales operations.
