DE-CIX and H5 Data Centers Boost Peering for San Antonio Networks

H5 Data Centers has partnered with DE-CIX to make SAT-IX the first Internet Exchange (IX) in DE-CIX’s Turnkey Connectivity Program. This agreement allows networks at H5’s San Antonio data center to connect directly to DE-CIX Dallas without third-party transport or remote cross-connect fees. The collaboration enables ISPs and content providers in San Antonio to peer seamlessly with networks in Dallas while maintaining low-latency performance.

San Antonio, located approximately 275 miles (442 km) from Dallas, now has an optimized pathway to major content networks via DE-CIX Dallas, the largest peering platform in Texas. The partnership strengthens regional connectivity by providing diverse connections to multiple DE-CIX Dallas switches, enhancing redundancy and network resiliency.

• San Antonio edge data center features:

• 85,000 square-foot (7,900 square-meter) carrier hotel

• Leading interconnection hub for San Antonio and Austin

• Access to over 35 communications carriers

• Recent expansion includes additional colocation space, increased power capacity, and more network options

“Our partnership with DE-CIX brings a new turnkey solution to the San Antonio market,” said Josh Simms, CEO and owner of H5 Data Centers. “This enables networks in San Antonio to enjoy low-latency connectivity with major content providers in Dallas while simplifying the peering process.”
