Duos-FiberLight Alliance Speeds Edge Deployments

Duos Edge AI expanded its partnership with FiberLight to accelerate edge data center deployments and extend high-capacity fiber connectivity into underserved U.S. markets. The alliance, which began in Texas, combines Duos’ modular, SOC 2 Type II compliant Edge Data Centers (EDCs) with FiberLight’s 20,000 route miles of fiber infrastructure. The companies aim to deliver low-latency compute resources closer to end users in education, healthcare, enterprise, and AI-driven applications.

Recent collaboration in Corpus Christi demonstrated the model when FiberLight needed to quickly reestablish a point-of-presence (POP). Duos Edge AI deployed a new EDC just 30 feet from existing infrastructure, avoiding 2,000 feet of new construction and minimizing service disruption. The partners worked with city officials, utilities, and property owners to fast-track the project, highlighting the potential for scalable, cost-effective rollouts in other regions.

Duos Edge AI expects to contract 15 EDCs by the end of 2025, with active deployments across Texas and upcoming projects in the Midwest and Southeast. The companies will coordinate on site selection, connectivity planning, and turnkey deployments to meet rising demand for edge capacity.

  • Duos Edge AI specializes in modular EDCs with 100 kW+ per cabinet, 90-day deployments, and locations within 12 miles of end users
  • FiberLight operates ~20,000 route miles of fiber with access to 300,000 pre-qualified near-net buildings
  • Corpus Christi deployment avoided 2,000 feet of new construction and reduced downtime
  • Partnership targets underserved and high-growth U.S. markets
  • Duos Edge AI on track to contract 15 EDCs by year-end 2025

“Expanding our partnership with FiberLight is a significant step forward in our mission,” said Doug Recker, President and Founder of Duos Edge AI. “Their extensive fiber network, combined with our rapidly deployable edge data centers, allows us to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions where they’re needed most—faster than ever before.”

🌐 Analysis: The Duos-FiberLight partnership reflects a broader push to bring edge compute and high-speed connectivity closer to underserved communities. Competitors like EdgePresence, Vapor IO, and DataBank are pursuing similar models, but Duos’ focus on rapid deployment and integration with regional fiber players gives it an operational edge. As AI workloads demand localized processing, partnerships between modular edge providers and fiber operators are becoming a cornerstone of U.S. digital infrastructure strategy.
