MultiLane introduced its latest suite of next-generation testing instruments designed to address the evolving needs of the networking industry. Central to the release is the MultiWave Test Platform (MWTP), a compact 1RU chassis that can house up to four MultiLane instruments in a single enclosure. The platform caters to both benchtop and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) setups, offering flexibility for a wide range of applications. With a modular design, MWTP provides a customizable, high-density solution that helps streamline operations while maintaining cost efficiency.
The highlight of the new suite is the ML7004F-L, a 224Gbps per lane BERT, available as a standalone instrument or as part of the MWTP. Designed for 1.6T networks, it features four 224Gbps lanes and 40 dB SerDes equalization, enabling developers to work on long-reach applications. The suite also includes specialized instruments such as the ML8008FX-SIA Signal Integrity Analyzer for R&D and manufacturing, offering cost-effective measurements of differential insertion loss, return loss, and other parameters, as well as the ML7064E-UMT Universal Module Tester for high-density transceiver and cable validation with 64 channels.
MultiLane will showcase the capabilities of these instruments at ECOC 2024, where attendees can explore the benefits of the MWTP and other solutions. The OIF will also demonstrate multi-vendor interoperability, further highlighting industry advancements in optical networking.
