At next week’s ECOC24 in Frankfurt, VIAVI Solutions is introducing its FVAM-2000, a new optical connector inspection tool for next-generation transceivers, and a 1.6Tb/s Ethernet test module.

The FVAM-2000, part of VIAVI’s benchtop microscopy line, addresses the growing demand for advanced inspection of parallel optic connectors like MPO, OSFP, and QSFP, which are essential for 800G formats. This tool offers high contrast imaging, faster performance, and automation capabilities that are critical in high-volume manufacturing environments.

• VIAVI introdcues the FVAM-2000 for 800G optical connector inspection, featuring automation and high-performance imaging.

• The ONE-1600 module enables 1.6Tb/s Ethernet testing for AI and high-performance computing applications.

• Partners Coherent and InnoLight use VIAVI’s ONT-800 to validate 800G transceivers.

• VIAVI also showcasing its Full Band Optical Spectrum Analyzer and High-Density Optical Power Meter.

• The company is launching the industry’s first fully automated probe microscope, the INX 760.

In addition, last week, VIAVI introduced its ONE-1600, a 1.6Tb/s Ethernet test module. VIAVI will also showcase the ONT-800 Optical Network Testing platform, used by partners such as Coherent and InnoLight to validate their 800G transceivers. These advancements solidify VIAVI’s position at the forefront of optical testing solutions, enabling high-speed, high-performance network environments.

The ONE LabPro testing platform integrates physical layer insights with multi-port, multi-flow data and control plane Layer 2/3 Ethernet testing across a range of data rates. Featuring the highest levels of port density and scalability in the market, ONE LabPro supports up to 64 x 1.6Tb/s test ports using ONE-1600 modules or 128 x 800Gb/s test ports using HSE-800 modules, managed by a single controller. The system can synchronize mixed combinations of test modules, centrally managed by the controller, with full breakout capabilities, multi-user logical port support, and single-user per logical port granularity. With a contemporary, web-based user interface and next-generation, Python-based automation framework, ONE LabPro enables advanced traffic generation and analysis to troubleshoot and test the functionality and performance of integrated circuits, pluggable interfaces, switching and routing devices, and networks.

“VIAVI is proud to showcase our newest innovations at ECOC 2024 as we continue to invest in and improve our industry-standard platforms,” said Tom Fawcett, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Lab & Production, VIAVI.
