Ericsson revealed its new, comprehensive Enterprise 5G strategy, focusing on private 5G and neutral host solutions designed to enhance business-critical connectivity across industries. These innovations aim to simplify enterprise adoption of 5G, offering flexible deployment models and reliable, low-latency connectivity. Ericsson’s Enterprise 5G portfolio includes solutions for both industrial and public-facing environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance wireless networks for enterprises. The company’s NetCloud Manager platform will allow customers to deploy and manage these networks with streamlined provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management capabilities.

In a parallel move, Ericsson also introduced two new routers, the Cradlepoint R980 and S400, to meet the growing demand for secure and reliable Wireless WAN in vehicle and IoT networks. The R980 router is designed to support high-performance applications like AI-driven video recognition and real-time data analysis, making it ideal for first responders, smart cities, and IoT deployments requiring low latency and persistent 5G connectivity. The S400 router addresses security concerns in IoT environments, offering zero-trust network capabilities for diverse use cases such as digital signage and building controls, with field-expandable interfaces for customized deployments.

These developments mark a significant step in Ericsson’s enterprise-focused strategy, providing businesses with flexible and scalable solutions for 5G and Wireless WAN. With features like Cellular Intelligence for automated carrier selection and network performance monitoring, Ericsson’s solutions help enterprises simplify network operations and ensure optimal performance. The combined approach of innovation in private networks, 5G WAN, and advanced routers positions Ericsson as a key player in enabling enterprise digital transformation.

• Ericsson’s Enterprise 5G portfolio includes Private 5G, Compact 5G, and Enterprise 5G Coverage solutions.

• NetCloud Manager simplifies deployment and management of 5G, Wireless WAN, and SASE networks.

• Cradlepoint R980 router delivers high-performance 5G connectivity for vehicles and IoT.

• Cradlepoint S400 router offers secure, scalable IoT connectivity with zero-trust security features.

• Cellular Intelligence features automate carrier selection and network performance monitoring for large-scale deployments.

“Our customers are increasingly demanding the speed, reliability, and security that 5G and LTE Wireless WAN offer,” said Ed Walton, CEO of STEP. “Both the R980 and S400 address our customers’ need for mass-deployment, ensuring optimal performance and security in demanding environments.”
