Fortinet Expands Unified SASE with Sovereign Control and AI Features

A A

Fortinet has introduced new sovereign SASE and generative AI capabilities to its unified SASE solution, which integrates Secure SD-WAN and cloud-delivered security service edge (SSE) within a single platform. Unlike many vendors that offer fragmented SASE solutions, Fortinet’s approach is unified by a single data lake, operating system, and AI-driven security, providing seamless management, visibility, and security enforcement. These updates aim to enhance flexibility and simplicity for customers, particularly in regulated sectors requiring stringent data sovereignty controls.

The new Fortinet Sovereign SASE allows organizations to maintain local control over inspection and logs, ensuring compliance and data privacy. Additionally, the integration of FortiAI for Secure SD-WAN introduces generative AI capabilities to streamline management and operations, improving efficiency from deployment to ongoing management. Fortinet’s ongoing innovation continues to deliver advanced features, such as remote browser isolation, self-healing SD-WAN networks, and enhanced zero trust network access (ZTNA) support.

  • Fortinet’s unified SASE solution integrates Secure SD-WAN and SSE.
  • New Sovereign SASE feature offers local control over data inspection and logs.
  • FortiAI integration brings generative AI to SD-WAN management.
  • Continuous updates include remote browser isolation and self-healing SD-WAN networks.

“Not only are we offering a truly integrated solution, but we’re also adding more flexibility and simplicity with the introduction of sovereign SASE and new generative AI features.” — John Maddison, Chief Marketing Officer at Fortinet.
