Fujitsu and Supermicro formed strategic partnership to co-develop and market a high-performance platform based on Fujitsu’s upcoming “FUJITSU-MONAKA” Arm-based processor. Scheduled for release in 2027, the processor is designed to balance high performance with energy efficiency. The collaboration will also focus on creating liquid-cooled systems for HPC, AI, and green data centers, aiming to address the rising demand for sustainable data center infrastructure.

Both companies plan to leverage their expertise to advance green IT solutions. Fujitsu and Supermicro aim to build energy-efficient systems optimized for AI, HPC, and cloud workloads, utilizing Supermicro’s modular server design and Fujitsu’s cutting-edge processor. Liquid cooling technology will play a significant role in minimizing environmental impact, a key priority as data center power consumption grows. The companies will combine their technical capabilities to deliver efficient, high-performance systems to meet growing global demand.

Fsas Technologies Inc., a Fujitsu subsidiary, will also play a role in the partnership by offering AI platform-based generative AI solutions globally, integrating Supermicro’s GPU server products for data center operators. Fujitsu CTO Vivek Mahajan highlighted the importance of the collaboration, stating it will drive innovation in green computing and enable next-gen AI infrastructure.

Key Points:

• Fujitsu and Supermicro collaborate to develop a platform using the Arm-based FUJITSU-MONAKA processor, set for release in 2027.

• The companies will also focus on liquid-cooled systems for AI, HPC, and green data centers.

• Supermicro’s Building Block server design will support a wide range of workloads, including cloud and edge applications.

• Fujitsu’s subsidiary Fsas Technologies will provide global AI platform solutions using Supermicro’s GPU server products.:

Vivek Mahajan, CTO of Fujitsu: “By combining our technologies, we will enable high-performance, energy-efficient AI system infrastructure, driving the evolution of AI and Digital Transformation (DX).”
