Fujitsu has officially launched 1Finity, a newly formed subsidiary that consolidates its global network-related businesses under a single brand. Headquartered in Kawasaki, Japan, the company commenced operations on July 1, 2025, with the goal of delivering high-quality, competitive network solutions to address rising global demand. The move is designed to give the business unit greater autonomy and operational agility as it serves telecom carriers, cloud providers, and data center operators.
1Finity inherits and integrates Fujitsu’s portfolio of optical and wireless hardware, software, and services. The company emphasizes end-to-end capabilities—ranging from R&D to operations and maintenance—designed to streamline delivery and optimize cost efficiency. The standalone structure is also expected to accelerate innovation across key domains, including next-generation optical transport, wireless backhaul, network automation, and sustainability.
CEO Masaaki Moribayashi said the timing reflects urgent needs in the industry. “As telecoms and data center network operators face pressure from escalating data demand, artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and rising costs, they require more agile and innovative network solutions,” he stated. “1Finity is well-positioned to help customers respond quickly to the rapidly changing market landscape with timely delivery of innovative products.”
