Google Chrome Adds Support for WebM and Theodora, Drop H.264

Google announced changes to Chrome’s HTML5 support. Specifically, Google is backing the WebM (VP8) and Theora video codecs, while removing support for H.264 so that resources can be focused on “completely open codec technologies.”http://blog.chromium.org/2011/01/html-video-codec-support-in-chrome.html
