NTT DATA announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate data analytics and GenAI adoption across Asia Pacific (APAC) markets. The collaboration will leverage NTT DATA’s expertise in digital transformation and large enterprise reach along with Google Cloud’s advanced data analytics and AI technologies. Together, they aim to deliver cloud-based AI and data solutions tailored to specific industries, including healthcare, financial services, retail, manufacturing, and the public sector, to support efficient, data-driven decision-making.

Central to this partnership is the launch of a dedicated NTT DATA Google Cloud Business Unit focused on developing joint solutions for data analytics, GenAI, and other cloud applications. This unit will drive specialized support for applications on Google Cloud, including cybersecurity and SAP solutions. NTT DATA plans to bolster its workforce with specialized Google Cloud training and certifications, expanding its team of 2,600 Google-certified engineers by an additional 1,000 professionals in the APAC region.

As demand for cloud infrastructure rises globally, the collaboration aims to support businesses preparing for digital transformation. Gartner forecasts public cloud spending to reach $679 billion in 2024, driven by GenAI deployments across sectors. The NTT DATA-Google Cloud partnership, rooted in APAC, aligns with these projections and includes ambitions for global scale in the future.

• Partnership expands NTT DATA’s and Google Cloud’s reach in APAC, focusing on cloud data analytics and GenAI solutions.

• Dedicated NTT DATA Google Cloud Business Unit will develop industry-specific cloud solutions and drive joint market strategies.

• NTT DATA will upskill and certify an additional 1,000 engineers in APAC to support Google Cloud solutions, adding to its 2,600 certified engineers worldwide.

• Gartner projects public cloud spending to surpass $1 trillion by 2027, reflecting the significance of cloud solutions in digital transformation.

John Lombard, CEO of NTT DATA, APAC, noted, “This partnership merges NTT DATA’s deep understanding of APAC markets with Google Cloud’s cloud and AI innovations, enabling businesses to reimagine possibilities in the AI era.”
