The Great Plains Network consortium, a group midwestern universities dedicated to supporting research and education through the use of advanced networking technology, will include ADVA Optical Networking as its first corporate member. ADVA will lend its expertise in reconfigurable optical network services, coarse and dense wavelength division multiplexing (C- and DWDM) and high-speed Ethernet services for applications including on-demand grid computing and supercomputing infrastructures.
