Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced new Aruba Networking solutions aimed at helping retail businesses enhance operational efficiency and IoT security while improving customer experiences. The new offerings, showcased at NRF 2025: Retail’s Big Show, focus on edge connectivity and high-performance real-time data processing to modernize retail environments from warehouses to curbside services. The HPE Aruba Networking Central platform has been expanded with AI-powered security insights, enhanced network management capabilities, and optimized wireless access points for managing IoT devices.

The expanded Aruba Networking portfolio includes tools for secure deployment and improved network performance in retail spaces. Among the new products are the 100 Series Cellular Bridge, designed to ensure primary or backup WAN access in case of fiber outages, and the 750 Series Wireless Access Points, capable of securing and processing real-time IoT data. Additionally, HPE introduced Central AI Insights, which enhances Wi-Fi optimization and can detect anomalies in IoT data uploads that may signal a security breach.

Highlights of HPE’s New Retail Solutions:

• 100 Series Cellular Bridge: Provides backup WAN access when fiber connections fail, improving resiliency for critical services like credit card processing.

• 750 Series Wireless Access Points: Designed to secure, process, and deliver real-time IoT data for AI-powered retail applications.

• CX 8325H Half-Width Switch: Space-efficient, low-power switch ideal for compact retail spaces.

• AI Insights in Aruba Central: Enhances Wi-Fi optimization and detects anomalous IoT behavior, improving network security and curbside performance.

• Edge Integration: The ProLiant DL145 Gen11 server offers high-performance edge computing for retail AI workloads.

Retail IoT Partner Ecosystem Expansion:

HPE is also expanding its IoT Operations Dashboard and Partner Portal, collaborating with third-party providers for enhanced retail applications such as:

• Hanshow: Interactive electronic shelf labels (ESLs) for better store management.

• Simbe Robotics: Autonomous item-scanning robots for inventory tracking and pricing accuracy.

• SOLUM: Digital signage and smart shelf technologies.

• VusionGroup: Computer vision AI and IoT asset management tools.

• Zebra Technologies: RFID scanners, barcode printers, and intelligent cabinets for omnichannel retailing.
