Ikanos Communications is supplying its VDSL2 CPE and Fusiv processor silicon and residential gateway software suite to Gemtek Technology Co. Ltd., an original design manufacturer (ODM) based in Taiwan. Gemtek is now shipping a full featured triple play residential gateway to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide. The product has been qualified by a major North American carrier.
The Fusiv Vx gateway processors use Ikanos’ distributed architecture to offload switching, routing and firewall functions to on-chip Accelerator Processors.
