India's Sify Deploys Cisco MPLS Backbone

Sify Limited has deployed the largest MPLS-based network in India using Cisco Systems’ 12000, 7600 and 7200 series routers. The network will be used for MPLS VPNs, as well as for reliable Internet gateways to the U.S. Financial terms were not disclosed. Sify’s IP backbone extends to 55 major POPs in India, representing an estimated 90% of the established PC base in the country.
