Intel sharpens its engineering focus with a series of executive appointments aimed at boosting customer engagement and advancing AI and silicon innovation. The company named Greg Ernst as chief revenue officer and added three key engineering leaders: Srinivasan Iyengar, Jean-Didier Allegrucci, and Shailendra Desai.
Ernst, a 20-year Intel veteran and head of the Sales and Marketing Group since May, steps into the CRO role reporting to CEO Lip-Bu Tan. His appointment signals Intel’s intent to strengthen market responsiveness and deepen customer relationships. Iyengar, formerly head of global silicon engineering at Cadence Design Systems, joins as SVP and Fellow. He will lead a new customer engineering center of excellence and also join Intel’s Executive Team.
Intel also reinforced its AI leadership bench. Allegrucci, previously with Rain AI and Apple, will serve as VP of AI SoC Engineering, overseeing multiple AI-focused SoC programs. Desai, a former Google executive and founder of Provino Technologies, takes on the role of VP of AI Fabric and Networking to drive new SoC architectures for Intel’s AI GPU roadmap. Both Allegrucci and Desai will report to Sachin Katti, Intel’s chief technology and AI officer.
