Japan’s UQ Communications, a joint venture between KDDI, Intel Capital, East Japan Railway, KYOCERA, Daiwa Securities and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd, has selected Mformation Technologies’ platform to provide seamless device management capabilities for new WiMAX-capable devices as part of the rollout of its WiMAX network.

The MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER ensures that WiMAX-capable devices can be remotely activated and provisioned irrespective of their source.

“Working with UQ on this very important mobile broadband initiative is great validation of the power of our comprehensive MDM platform,” said Mark Edwards, CEO for Mformation. “UQ Communications had very demanding requirements; we have consistently demonstrated our ability to support these requirements as UQ Communications moves forward with its aggressive plans for rollout of WiMAX-based services. We look forward to supporting UQ on this important initiative.”http://www.mformation.com
