Juniper Networks has expanded its AI-Native Routing portfolio with new automation capabilities and extended coverage to the edge, enhancing WAN performance and reducing operational complexity. The update includes AI-driven observability, intent-based network optimization, and proactive troubleshooting, powered by Mist AI. Additionally, Juniper introduced the ACX7020 Access Edge Router, designed to extend AI-driven automation to metro and customer premises environments.

The rise of AI-driven workloads and increasing network traffic have intensified the need for high-performance WAN solutions. Juniper’s expanded AI-Native Routing portfolio addresses these challenges with advanced automation that scales across enterprise, cloud, and service provider networks.

Juniper’s Paragon WAN automation solution has been enhanced with:

  • AI-native routing observability: Mist AI provides comprehensive visibility and control of routing using AI Operations (AIOps), reducing operational expenses by up to 85% in some cases.
  • Proactive troubleshooting with LLM Connector: Juniper’s Virtual Network Assistant, Marvis, integrates with customer-deployed large language models (LLMs) for advanced conversational troubleshooting.
  • Intent-based network optimization: Streamlines traffic engineering policies to optimize routing based on application performance requirements.

New routing innovations include:

  • ACX7020 Access Edge Router: Designed for indoor and outdoor deployments, extending WAN coverage with plug-and-play support for AI-Native Routing.
  • Energy-efficient automation: Port, port group, and line card sleep features identify and power down unused modules, reducing energy consumption and operational costs.

Juniper also introduced improvements in WAN automation that enable network operators to manage large-scale AI traffic while improving efficiency and performance. The updates help reduce network complexity, enhance reliability, and support the growing demand for AI-driven data flows.
