Keysight Technologies partnered with Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) to showcase 6G FR3 radio frequency front-end (RFFE) characterization at Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona. The demonstration at Keysight’s booth (#5F41, Hall 5) showed how to streamline complex RF characterization processes, reducing test cycle time and minimizing errors during the development workflow. This collaboration is expected to accelerate 6G research, validation, and deployment by ensuring FR3 devices meet evolving industry standards.

FR3 is designed to bridge the gap between the wide coverage of FR1 and the high capacity of FR2, making it a key enabler for next-generation wireless networks. However, validating FR3 RFFE components requires precise characterization to ensure system performance and reliability. Keysight’s PNA-X Network Analyzers, integrated with ADI’s 6-18 GHz FR3 signal chain, simplify the testing process with a highly configurable architecture, providing a scalable solution for 6G front-end validation.

Keysight and ADI’s collaboration establishes a foundation for 6G testing, enabling network engineers to develop high-bandwidth, low-latency communication systems. With this partnership, the companies aim to accelerate 6G adoption by offering future-proof test and measurement solutions that support rapid innovation in wireless technology.

• Collaboration supports 6G R&D, ensuring future-proof device validation and deployment.

Ray Goggin, Managing Director, Instrumentation Business at ADI:

“ADI is committed to advancing 6G research and development and adoption, which will bring higher bandwidth, lower latency, and greater reliability. ADI’s FR3 signal chain with Keysight’s PNA-X Network Analyzer solution is a perfect example of our mutual desire to accelerate the next generation of wireless.”

Lucas Hansen, Vice President, Wireless and 6G at Keysight:

“Our partnership with ADI on FR3 characterization is about more than just validating devices—it’s about building the 6G foundation. Keysight’s next-generation test and measurement solutions equip the industry with the tools needed to confidently innovate, paving the way for faster, more reliable 6G deployments.”
