Keysight Technologies has partnered with Mavenir to test and validate Mavenir’s 32TRX massive multiple input multiple output (mMIMO) technology using Keysight’s Beam MIMO Detect solution. The collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency of beamforming in next-generation Node B (gNBs) by replicating real-world scenarios with multiple spatially separated user equipment (UE). By streamlining the validation process, the partnership ensures that Mavenir’s mMIMO solutions meet the performance demands of evolving 5G networks.

Testing multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) for massive MIMO gNBs requires simulating dynamic conditions where multiple UEs are in motion across spatially distributed locations. A major challenge in this process is mitigating inter-beam interference, which can degrade network performance if not properly managed. Keysight’s Beam MIMO Detect and E2E MU-MIMO solutions provide a benchtop setup with up to 64 bidirectional radio ports, enabling Mavenir to assess inter-beam and inter-cell mobility under controlled yet realistic conditions. This testing framework ensures Mavenir’s mMIMO technology is robust and optimized for superior connectivity and efficiency.

With this validation, Mavenir can deploy high-performing 5G solutions designed for complex multi-cell environments. The collaboration marks a step forward in overcoming key challenges in massive MIMO deployments, ensuring seamless integration of next-generation network technologies. Keysight and Mavenir will continue working together to refine testing methodologies and accelerate the commercialization of advanced wireless solutions.

• Mavenir and Keysight partner to test and validate 32TRX massive MIMO technology

• Keysight’s Beam MIMO Detect solution optimizes beamforming and interference management

• Multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) testing replicates real-world dynamic network conditions

• Test setup features up to 64 bidirectional radio ports for advanced interference assessment

• Ensures Mavenir’s mMIMO solutions deliver high performance and reliability in 5G networks

“The integration of Keysight’s comprehensive Beam MIMO Detect solution ushers in a new level of efficiency and accuracy for mMIMO next-generation radio and RAN testing,” said Santhosh Kumar, Senior Vice President – NPI Engineering at Mavenir.
