Keysight Technologies has introduced its UALink 1.0 Transmitter Compliance Test Solution, enabling automated validation of 200 Gb/s PAM4 transmitters used in emerging AI and high-performance computing interconnects. The solution, which integrates with Keysight’s Infiniium UXR-Series real-time oscilloscopes, performs complete transmitter compliance tests in minutes, accelerating verification cycles for UALink-based systems and components.
UALink 1.0, developed by the UALink Consortium in 2024, defines an open, low-latency, high-bandwidth interconnect architecture designed to address scaling challenges in AI data center infrastructure. The new Keysight D90203UAC application automates complex measurements—such as signal integrity and electrical conformance—that typically require hours of manual analysis, helping engineers ensure standards compliance across backplane and cable Ethernet channels at 200 Gb/s line rates.
Keysight will demonstrate the UALink compliance solution at the 2025 OCP Global Summit (October 13–16 in San Jose), alongside its new 212 G receiver conformance test application (M8091DJCA). The receiver test platform combines the M8050A 120 Gbd BERT, Infiniium UXR oscilloscope, and M8091DJCA software to provide full electrical conformance and debug capabilities for next-generation UALink 200 Gb/s 1.0 systems.
• Automates 200 Gb/s PAM4 transmitter compliance tests, reducing hours of work to minutes
• Supports UALink, backplane Ethernet and cable Ethernet channels
• Demonstrated at OCP Global Summit 2025 (booth C1)
• New 212 G receiver test suite extends measurement coverage for AI scale-up networking
Dr. Joachim Peerlings, Vice President of Network and Data Center Solutions at Keysight Technologies, said: “The introduction of UALink marks a transformative leap in AI infrastructure and directly addresses the lack of an open, industry-standard, high-bandwidth low-latency interconnect for scaling AI accelerators within data centers. By providing tools for validating UALink transmitters, Keysight is helping the industry accelerate the introduction of products based on the open UALink standard.”
🌐 Analysis: Keysight’s launch strengthens the validation ecosystem around the UALink 1.0 standard, a collaboration among major semiconductor and AI infrastructure players seeking open alternatives to proprietary accelerator interconnects. As AI data centers push toward 224 G and beyond, automated compliance solutions like Keysight’s are becoming essential for ensuring signal integrity and multi-vendor interoperability in next-generation server and switch platforms.
