Marconi agreed to resell RBN’s GigaEdge 8200 CWDM platform as part of its Multiservice Metro-Edge portfolio. RBN’s CWDM products have already been deployed by “tier one” carriers including PCCW. The GigaEdge 8200 is a fully carrier-class transport system that offers high-quality performance monitoring capabilities and high availability. All aspects of the system, including full wavelength channel reconfiguration, can be managed by Marconi’s ServiceOn network management solution.
