MEF introduced its NaaS Network APIs to support AI-driven economies and application-led connectivity. Working with GSMA, CAMARA, and its members, MEF aims to enable applications to dynamically request and adjust network performance on demand. These capabilities will be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 as part of the GSMA Open Gateway Showcase, featuring a “Quality on Demand” (QoD) demonstration with Colt and Orange.

The introduction of NaaS Network APIs enables enterprises to enhance network adaptability for AI, real-time analytics, and immersive technologies. By integrating with GSMA Open Gateway and CAMARA APIs, MEF facilitates automated, cross-domain connectivity, optimizing mobile and fixed-line networks for applications such as AI, cloud gaming, and Industry 4.0.

At MWC 2025, MEF, Colt, and Orange will demonstrate how edge-native applications interact seamlessly with mobile and fixed networks. The demonstration highlights Orange’s 5G QoD capability for mobile networks and Colt’s On-Demand NaaS platform for dynamic core network services. By leveraging CAMARA APIs, MEF standards, and software-defined networking, this initiative enhances automated network provisioning for various enterprise use cases.
