MEF will host a live webinar on April 22 to spotlight the growing role of standards-based certification for Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and SD-WAN solutions in the enterprise networking market. The session, titled “Gain a Competitive Edge with MEF-Certified SASE & SD-WAN,” features Joe Skorupa, a former Gartner VP and co-author of the original SASE framework. The discussion comes as the global SASE market is projected to grow to $28 billion by 2028, driven by rising cybersecurity threats and increased demand for cloud-integrated, high-performance networking.

Skorupa will join MEF leaders and experts from CyberRatings.org to explore how MEF’s SASE Certification Program enhances interoperability, streamlines procurement, and supports trust between providers and enterprises. The program includes certifications for SASE, SD-WAN, Secure Service Edge (SSE), and Zero Trust, backed by independent performance and security testing. The panel will also examine how certification can accelerate enterprise vendor selection and reduce sales cycle friction.

The event reflects MEF’s ongoing push to establish a common framework for secure Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) ecosystems. The webinar targets IT and telecom professionals seeking certified, scalable solutions that can meet the demands of digital transformation while mitigating evolving threat landscapes.

  • MEF to host webinar on April 22 at 7am PST / 10am EST.
  • Focus: standards-based certification for SASE, SD-WAN, SSE, and Zero Trust.
  • Featured speaker: Joe Skorupa, co-author of SASE framework and former Gartner VP.
  • Certification aims to support interoperability, performance validation, and streamlined procurement.
  • SASE market projected to reach $28 billion by 2028.
  • Additional speakers include leaders from MEF and CyberRatings.org.

“These certifications provide a standardized way to evaluate SASE and SD-WAN solutions for performance, resilience, and security,” said Daniel Bar Lev, Chief Product Officer, MEF.
