Motorola is demonstrating its DOCSIS 3.0 channel bonding technology at this week’s ITM Expo center in São Paulo. The demo features the Motorola BSR 64000 cable modem termination system (CMTS) running pre-DOCSIS 3.0 software and new pre-DOCSIS 3.0 cable modems.
Motorola’s channel-bonding solution links four downstream channels to increase throughput for high-speed data delivery and free up bandwidth for new IP video applications. Together, Motorola and NET Serviços are testing the technology as a first step toward bringing ultra-broadband services to Brazil.
