VIAVI Solutions (NASDAQ: VIAV) is showcasing its latest network optimization and security technologies at MWC Barcelona 2025 from March 3-6. The company’s demonstrations will cover advancements in 6G, satellite communications, Open RAN, quantum security testing, and AI-driven network operations, supporting the global transition from traditional telecom providers to technology companies.

VIAVI’s demos include:

  • 6G and Extended Reality: Energy-efficient neuromorphic receivers for AI-based modulations, goal-oriented and semantic communication frameworks for metaverse applications, AI/ML-based beam management for FR3 centimeter-wave frequencies, and joint communications and sensing (JCAS) testing solutions using real-time ray tracing technology.
  • 5G and Open RAN: O-RU testbed for massive MIMO and multi-user MIMO, an end-to-end O-RAN testbed for performance and security testing, and solutions for resilient timing, advanced EMF and PIM measurements, and cloud integration.
  • Critical Communications: NTN digital twin testbed for satellite communications and resilient PNT solutions to mitigate jamming and spoofing threats.
  • Quantum Security: TeraVM Security Test for Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) system validation, including support for NIST-mandated PQC algorithms, and the MAP-300 Multiple Application Platform for quantum key distribution (QKD) testing.
  • Intelligent Twins: AI-based digital twin solutions for large-scale network simulations, AI-RAN scenario generation, real-time ray tracing, and cloud automation.
  • Telco to Techco: AI-assisted RAN optimization, AIOps-driven automation, LaaS/TaaS solutions, and optical transceiver testing for 800G and 1.6T network equipment.
  • Dark NOC: NITRO AIOps for end-to-end network visibility, anomaly detection, autonomous issue resolution, and real-time Open RAN remote testing streamed from the VIAVI Automated Lab-as-a-Service (VALOR™) Lab in Chandler, AZ.

“The past year has seen tremendous change, with 6G taking a significant leap forward in the lab, high-speed satellite networks becoming a reality, and AI increasingly being leveraged to enhance tools, simulations, and operations. In this dynamic landscape, network testing and optimization is becoming ever more critical,” said Sameh Yamany, Chief Technology Officer, VIAVI.
