Nokia Launches AI-Powered Broadband Easy Platform to Accelerate FTTH Rollouts

Nokia introduced Broadband Easy, a new digital platform and service suite designed to automate and accelerate fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments for broadband operators. The platform leverages advanced AI models and automation to streamline design, installation, and certification processes, reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) and speeding up rollout timelines by as much as 20%. Broadband Easy aims to help service providers overcome the financial and logistical challenges of extending fiber networks to unconnected and underserved communities worldwide.

The modular platform offers operators centralized control of the entire fiber deployment lifecycle, including subcontractor management, inventory generation, and risk mitigation. Integrated AI tools enhance field productivity by certifying fiber plants, verifying installations, managing subscriber port assignments, and even providing on-site training via AI-driven guidance. The system is fully compatible with existing IT environments and is pre-integrated with Nokia’s Altiplano Access Controller and Nokia Design Center. Operators can also pair Broadband Easy with Nokia’s rollout management services to further offload project execution.

Nokia’s latest platform is positioned to play a critical role in connecting the next billion homes to fiber, particularly in rural areas where fiber buildouts remain economically challenging. By optimizing deployment workflows and improving field operation efficiency, Broadband Easy addresses key pain points operators face as they scale FTTH infrastructure.

• Nokia launches Broadband Easy to automate and accelerate fiber deployments by 20%.

• Combines advanced automation and AI to reduce TCO and streamline fiber network rollouts.

• Platform provides centralized control of design, subcontractors, and field operations.

• AI models assist with fiber certification, port management, and technician training.

• Pre-integrated with Nokia Altiplano Access Controller and Nokia Design Center.

“With Broadband Easy, we’re making fiber deployment easier, faster, and more cost-effective for operators,” said Sandy Motley, President of Fixed Networks at Nokia. “By combining our deep expertise in fiber network design and deployment with cutting-edge automation and AI, we’re helping operators significantly cut costs and rollout times—making high-speed internet access a reality for more communities, sooner.”
