Nokia’s New Kubernetes-based Automation Platform Targets AI-Era Data Centers

Nokia has launched its Event-Driven Automation (EDA) platform, a next-generation solution built to enhance data center operations in the AI era. The EDA platform, powered by Kubernetes, aims to reduce network disruptions and downtime by eliminating human error from network operations. It simplifies data center lifecycle management, decreasing operational effort by up to 40%. The platform integrates advanced features such as digital twin capabilities, generative AI assistance, and multi-vendor support, making it adaptable to a wide range of IT service management systems and cloud platforms.

As data centers face growing demand driven by AI applications and digital transformation, the need for automation becomes critical. Service providers, enterprises, and webscalers struggle with maintaining reliable network operations amid workforce shortages and increasing complexity. Nokia’s EDA platform addresses these challenges with intent-based automation, robust CI/CD processes, and seamless integration into both cloud and on-premise environments. Its use of Kubernetes architecture allows network resources to be managed similarly to other data center applications, offering a more scalable and flexible approach.

Nokia offers the EDA platform through on-premises and cloud-based subscription models, allowing organizations to adopt the solution easily. It integrates with Nokia’s Service Router Linux and extensive data center networking portfolio, providing a complete modernization path for data center networks in the AI era.
