Novva Data Centers has officially launched its new 300,000 square foot, 60MW facility in Storey County, Nevada. Located in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC) — one of the largest industrial parks globally — the Novva Tahoe Reno campus spans 20 acres and joins a neighborhood of prominent tech companies along the I-80 corridor just east of Reno. This marks Novva’s fourth operational site, following builds in Utah, Colorado Springs, and North Las Vegas.
The new data center features six 10MW data halls with column-free floorplans, a 100MW on-site substation, and direct-to-chip cooling. Novva’s proprietary water-free cooling system utilizes recyclable polypropylene piping, aiming to reduce water usage from the nearby Lake Tahoe and Truckee River. The campus integrates sustainable elements such as radiant cooling, LED lighting with auto-off sensors, drought-tolerant landscaping, and locally sourced building materials.
Novva has four additional campuses in development — including new sites in San Francisco, Mesa, Arizona, and expansions in Utah and North Las Vegas — with over 1GW of future capacity planned by 2028. The Tahoe Reno site offers tenants meet-me rooms, conference spaces, showers, arcade access, and even views of wild mustangs. The facility is designed for low-latency connectivity to the Bay Area, with a 6ms round trip, and features 24/7 security and robotic dog patrols.
