NTT DATA Japan is partnering with Oracle to enhance its sovereign cloud services by deploying Oracle Alloy in its data centers, a move aimed at meeting the growing demand for secure, compliant cloud solutions in Japan. This collaboration will allow NTT DATA Japan to offer over 150 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including the latest AI capabilities, to public and private sector organizations while addressing data sovereignty and regulatory compliance concerns. The Oracle Alloy integration is set to bolster NTT DATA’s OpenCanvas platform, expanding its cloud service offerings across industries such as finance, telecommunications, and government.
NTT DATA Japan plans to deploy Oracle Alloy across two data centers, with services launching in Japan’s East region by December 2025 and in the West region by March 2027. Oracle Alloy will enable NTT DATA to provide cloud-native development tools, platform services, and enhanced infrastructure capabilities tailored to the specific needs of its Japanese clientele. In the future, NTT DATA may also explore incorporating other cutting-edge technologies from the NTT Group, including the IOWN initiative and the tsuzumi large language model (LLM), to further strengthen its cloud offerings.
This initiative aligns with Oracle’s broader $8 billion investment in Japan, aimed at expanding cloud and AI infrastructure to support the country’s growing tech demands. The collaboration highlights both companies’ commitment to providing advanced, secure cloud solutions that help organizations across Japan accelerate their digital transformation.
