Nathan Tracy, President from OIF explains:
– Industry leaders are collaborating across multiple system development organizations to find consensus on 448 Gbps solutions, with over 170 attendees and 30 presenters at OIF’s workshop
– Technical challenges include achieving higher data rates with less margin, addressing insertion loss, reflections, and crosstalk while implementing higher order modulations
– OIF is tackling six key areas: electrical data rates, coherent technology, network capacity management, common interfaces, energy-efficient interfaces, and network operator interoperability testing
