Altice USA’s Optimum service has reached 500,000 residential customers on its 100% fiber internet network. The service spans New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, with availability to 2.9 million homes. Customers can access symmetrical speeds of up to 8 Gbps alongside mobile, TV, and home phone services.

The milestone follows significant investment in the company’s fiber infrastructure, including $40 million allocated to Long Island in 2024 and additional spending across its Northeast footprint. Recent expansions brought Optimum Fiber to communities such as Montclair and West Orange, New Jersey, while third-party evaluations from Ookla and PCMag recognized Optimum Fiber for delivering some of the fastest and most reliable internet speeds in the region.

“At Optimum, our local teams have been hard at work transforming our fiber network, products, and experiences,” said Dennis Mathew, Chairman and CEO of Optimum. “Today’s milestone is a testament to the progress we have been working towards and a vision for what Optimum Fiber’s network looks like today and into the future.”

• Key Points:

• 500,000 residential customers now use Optimum’s fiber network.

• Fiber services available to 2.9 million homes across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

• Investments in 2024 included $40M in Long Island network enhancements.

• Expanded fiber network to Montclair and West Orange, New Jersey.
