Palo Alto Networks announced collaboration with IBM and the UK Home Office’s Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme (ESMCP) to deliver security for the Emergency Services Network (ESN). IBM UK leads the multi-year project, which aims to establish a secure, modern platform for voice and data communications across police, fire, and ambulance services in Great Britain.

The ESN platform will integrate Palo Alto Networks’ Precision AI-powered security solutions for comprehensive protection across mobile networks, cloud environments, and security operations centers (SOC). The collaboration includes 24/7 cyber incident response services, digital forensic capabilities, and the Unit 42® Incident Response Services. The goal is to enhance data sharing and collaboration among emergency services while protecting critical national infrastructure from evolving cyber threats.

Rahul Kalia, Managing Partner at IBM Consulting UK & Ireland, highlighted the importance of securing frontline emergency services, emphasizing a secure, resilient communications platform. Helmut Reisinger, CEO of Palo Alto Networks EMEA & LATAM, praised the UK Home Office’s focus on modernizing critical infrastructure with secure IT transformation strategies.

• Multi-year security collaboration between Palo Alto Networks, IBM, and the UK Home Office for ESN.

• Palo Alto Networks provides AI-powered protection across private 5G, cloud, and security operations technology (5G-OT) environments.

• The platform includes 24/7 incident response, digital forensics, and Unit 42® Incident Response Services.

• Enhanced security operations, threat detection, and zero trust network protection for ESN.

• Designed to improve data sharing and collaboration among police, fire, and ambulance services.

“We are proud to be part of such a critical national infrastructure project alongside IBM and other partners to ensure the security and communications resilience of the Home Office’s Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme,” said Helmut Reisinger, CEO of Palo Alto Networks EMEA & LATAM.
