Pirelli Broadband to Offer Airvana's Femtocells

December 2, 2008
in Uncategorized
A A

Pirelli Broadband Solutions, the broadband access company within the Pirelli Group, will resell Airvana’s HubBub UMTS femtocell as part of its portfolio for fixed-mobile convergence.

Airvana and Pirelli both cooperate in Nokia Siemens Networks’ 3G Femto Home Access Solution, an ecosystem that uses a standards-ready open architecture for femto-to-core network interaction. Adherence to these important industry standard initiatives, plus the TR-069 standard for device management, will make it easier to incorporate Pirelli’s HubBub-powered broadband access devices into existing operator networks.

Over the past three years Pirelli has become one of the leading suppliers of CPEs for quad-play service providers in Europe, with a portfolio comprising IPTV Set Top Boxes and home and office access gateways for xDSL and FTTx networks.http://www.airvana.comhttp://www.pirellibroadband.com
