PointOne agreed to acquire certain assets from of Callipso, a nationwide carrier of VoIP traffic. Callipso filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month. PointOne said it will provide strategic network elements in the migration of customer support and services, as well as provide facilities, personnel and expertise to the existing VoIP customers of Callipso for the rapid integration of services onto the PointOne managed network. Financial terms were not disclosed.
