ProTek Fiber has deployed Adtran’s fiber access technology, including Mosaic One SaaS and ALM fiber monitoring with deep PON assurance, to deliver full-fiber broadband to underserved areas of Illinois. This marks ProTek Fiber’s transition from a wireless internet service provider (WISP) to a fiber optic network operator, providing high-speed internet across Williamson, Jackson, Franklin, Johnson, and Union counties. The deployment improves broadband access for thousands of residents, enabling remote work, online education, and telemedicine services while boosting regional economic activity.
The project includes Adtran’s SDX 6000 Series Combo PON OLTs and SDX 630 Series ONTs, delivering fiber connectivity directly to homes. ProTek Fiber also uses Adtran’s SDG 8700 Series Wi-Fi 7 devices for reliable in-home wireless coverage. With Adtran’s ALM platform and Mosaic One, ProTek gains real-time network health insights and in-service fault detection without requiring demarcation reflectors. The Mosaic One Marketing Center further supports targeted campaigns to drive subscriber growth and revenue.
