Qualcomm Extends Manchester United Shirt Sponsorship through 2029

Citing tremendous marketing benefits, Qualcomm Technologies is extending its principal shirt partnership with Manchester United ntil 2029. The partnership, which prominently features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon brand on the iconic Manchester United shirts, has already seen record-breaking launches for the club’s home, away, and third kits for the 2024/25 season. Snapdragon processors, which power smartphones, PCs, and wearables, have been featured on the front of Manchester United shirts for the first time, creating a strong visual connection between the global technology brand and the renowned football club.

The success of the shirt launches is reflected in the staggering digital impact, with over 2 billion media impressions featuring the Snapdragon logo, the highest of any partner launch in Manchester United’s history. Moreover, the Snapdragon Insiders community has surged by 256% in the month following the release of the home shirt, reaching over 16 million members. Qualcomm has further expanded its partnership by securing rights in the PC category and introducing an innovative augmented reality (AR) experience accessible via QR codes on the shirts. Additionally, Qualcomm’s logo now appears on the back of the Manchester United shirts, beneath the squad numbers, marking a groundbreaking approach to integrated marketing within the realms of technology and sports.
