Quintum Offers VoIP Applications Bundle with Intel Host Media Processing

A A

Quintum Technologies has established a new bundled offer that will feature a fully tested and interoperable solution utilizing the Quintum Tenor AS and BX lines of VoIP switches and gateways and Intel NetStructure Host Media Processing (HMP) Software.

This offering, which will be available from Paracon, is targeted towards Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs.

HMP software from Intel performs media processing tasks on general-purpose servers based on Intel architecture without the use of specialized hardware. When installed on a system, the software looks like an Intel Dialogic board with DM3 architecture to the customer application, but all media processing takes place on the host processor. The addition of Intel HMP software to Quintum’s Switches and Gateways solution set helps to complete the available line of network access solutions.

Quintum said ISVs and OEMs who are looking to develop converged communications solutions will benefit from using Quintum’s Switches and Gateways with Intel Host Media Processing software by allowing them to rapidly develop products for new and existing markets with solutions including: IP-PBX, Contact/Call Center Applications, Messaging, IVR Services, Conferencing, and SMS Services.
