Rambus Inc. announced a five-year extension of its comprehensive patent license agreement with Micron Technology, continuing their long-standing collaboration. The extension, which retains the existing licensing terms, grants Micron broad access to Rambus’ patent portfolio through late 2029. The financial and other specific terms remain confidential.

The renewed agreement reinforces the companies’ partnership, enabling ongoing collaboration on memory and semiconductor innovations. Rambus specializes in high-performance memory solutions designed to address the bottleneck between memory and processing, critical for cloud, edge, and real-time data-intensive applications.

• Five-year extension of Rambus-Micron patent license agreement, running through late 2029.

• Agreement provides Micron with access to Rambus’ extensive patent portfolio.

• Collaboration focuses on advancing high-performance memory and semiconductor technologies.

• Terms of the agreement remain confidential.

“We are very pleased to continue our strategic relationship with Micron,” said Luc Seraphin, president and CEO of Rambus. “This extension enables our continued collaboration, and we look forward to working together to bring further advancements to the industry.”
